A writhing amalgamation of architectural types is at the moment inhabiting Yorkshire Sculpture Park’s 18th-century Chapel. The set up, from artist Saad Qureshi, is titled “One thing About Paradise” and explores what the thought of “paradise” means to individuals of differing backgrounds.
“Qureshi is an avid gatherer of tales,” YSP says. “In growing One thing About Paradise he travelled across the nation asking these with and with out religion what paradise means for them. Talking on to individuals allowed the artist area to interpret the descriptions of vague and imagined locations, as seen in reminiscences and goals, into bodily installations that he refers to as ‘mindscapes.’”
