Editor’s Be aware:
Admittedly, we’re nonetheless disillusioned by the sudden and up to date (November 2022) departure of Alessandro Michele, who, because the (former) artistic director of the model, was the driving power behind its multi-year love affair of floral-infused maximalism, which spilled exuberantly into Gucci’s textile/house assortment. These floral prints and collections had been additionally brilliantly built-in into the model’s experiential retail mecca-meets-museum “Gucci Backyard” in Florence, Italy. (As mentioned above, it’s The Gucci Backyard; finally, Michele’s genius impressed THIS shoot!). So, like the remainder of the fashion-loving world, we’re VERY excited to see what Italian designer Sabato De Sarno, now the brand new artistic director of Gucci, has in retailer for the model’s future design course. With Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, and Valentino in his CV, the general artistic course is sure to be superb… LIFE IS GUCCI, in spite of everything! 😉
