Aston Martin has confirmed that it plans to introduce 8 new sports cars in the next 2 years. One among them is the DB12 – the replacement for the DB11. We now have some new data to share on Aston’s upcoming GT.
Let’s begin with the engine. In response to our sources, the Aston Martin DB12 is prone to be powered by a brand new AMG-sourced V8 engine. The motor is claimed to have been modified by Aston and develops round 650-690 hp. That’s over 122 hp greater than the previous twin-turbo V8 and 20-60 hp greater than the 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12. Talking of the V12, Aston Martin is unlikely to supply a V12 engine choice on the DB12.
One of many departments that Astons have typically lacked is the infotainment system. This time round Aston Martin is claimed to have developed a dual-screen infotainment system in-house, which will probably be bespoke to the model.
The DB12 will compete with the likes of the Mercedes-AMG GT when it arrives later this month. The automotive is estimated to have a base worth of £185,000, which is roughly $230,000.
