A small assortment of pictures taken by Victorian educational, Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, aka the writer Lewis Carroll, have been consigned to Sworders’ Books and Maps sale, and are anticipated to promote for round £1,000 every.
The eight black-and-white pictures are of Alexandra ‘Xie’ Kitchin, who was certainly one of Dodgson’s favorite ‘child-friend’ images topics, and the daughter of Rev George Kitchin, a colleague from Christ Church, Oxford College.
