Sam Gainsborough’s movie “Going through It” cleverly combines live-action actors and mixed-media cease movement. With heads constituted of plasticine, the artist instructed Administrators Notes that he “shot the movie in stay motion and pixelation after which individually shot the character’s faces within the studio towards a green-screen, virtually rotoscoping the footage we had already shot.” This required Gainsborough to match the faces to the actors body by body.
A synopsis for the movie: “Shaun at all times feels separate and remoted from the assured, comfortable world round him. While ready for his dad and mom in a busy pub, Shaun struggles valiantly to hitch in with the admirably comfortable folks within the crowd, however the extra he tries, the extra he goes awry. As every thing within the pub goes from dangerous to worse, Shaun finds himself confronted by the painful recollections that made him who he’s. His emotions, recollections and needs overwhelm him and by the top of the night he is able to explode…”
