Porsche Mission X idea previews the next-gen hypercar

Final month, we reported that Porsche was planning to showcase the 918 replacement in concept form quickly. Guess we have been proper, because the carmaker has simply taken the wraps off its future hypercar.

The Porsche Mission X marks the seventy fifth anniversary of Porsche sports activities vehicles. It was June 8, 1948, when the 356 ‘no. 1’ grew to become the primary car bearing the Porsche badge to obtain its common working allow.

It has flared wheel arches and a teardrop-shaped driver’s cabin wrapped in a glass cover with Le Mans-style doorways impressed by the Porsche 917. The rear options an LED gentle bar and a big diffuser.

The inside of the ‘Mission X’ idea appears futuristic with its minimalistic dashboard, carbon fibre seats and compact open-top steering wheel.

The Mission X idea is predicated on a 900 V electrical structure. In accordance with Porsche, if the ‘Mission X’ goes into manufacturing, it will be the quickest road-legal car to lap the Nurburgring. The hypercar is predicted to have a power-to-weight ratio of 1 PS per kg and a downforce worth larger than the present 911 GT3 RS.
